Homeowners: Intro

Getting Started
Welcome to a better way to own well
New homes have become notorious for being built fast and cheaply, and yet still chronically priced for a high-demand, low-supply market.
With such excessive costs to own, would-be buyers want to know: what's in the price of a house?
The Powerhaus team of engineers, designers, and builders set out to answer that question definitively, and to prove that mass-market-affordable, materially high-value homes aren't relics of the past but a matter of intelligent design, especially in pairing with integrated multi-industry collaboration.
At Powerhaus, we're deploying rigorously proven and proprietary innovative structural assembly systems, and combining these approaches with supplier price cooperation to make homeownership more accessible and attractive than ever.
We're uniquely able to accomplish this while also significantly improving build
quality, structural integrity, and thermal/energy efficiencies, for homes that not only withstand tests of time but also out-perform 99% of the market in practically any climate – and even through severe weather events.
In addition, we're pioneering high-strength framing solutions and utility configurations that reduce time spent on MEP trade installations (rough-ins) by as much as 75%, passing savings to you.
But that's not all. We're working together with leading EV brands, renewable energy distributors, and home battery suppliers, among others, to build up to 100%-plus off-grid power sufficiency into new homes from the ground up, once again bringing unprecedented savings to you as a Powerhaus homeowner.
Powerhaus means a commitment to deliver the very best house and home your money can buy, wherever you may choose to put roots down and power up for a lifetime of enjoyment and unparalleled value.
Choosing to have your home fully custom-built can seem daunting, so the first thing we want prospective clients to understand is how simple the process can be with the right team on your side.
Most custom-build homeowners have a home site at least in mind before approaching an architect, but that isn't a requirement. Here's what we ask of you to get started:
The home you need and want
Any great custom home starts with a concept of how you intend to use and enjoy your space, now and in the future. Our free, 2-minute, zero-pressure Powerhaus BuildStarter questionnaire will help us better understand what it is you're looking for, from style, to layout, to occupancy, and amenities.
Where you'd like to live (at least generally)
If you haven't gone through the process of finding a build site, don't sweat it. As a matter of fact, this can work to your advantage by developing your home concept first, then looking for a site suited to your interior and outdoor plans.
In the questionnaire linked above, simply specify the important home-planning details of your preferred state, terrain, scenery, proximity to trees/forest, and on-grid or off-grid development.
With these answers in hand, we're well on the way toward putting pencil to drawing board for your Powerhaus dream home.
With receipt of your completed BuildStarter survey, a Powerhaus team member will reach out at a time optionally specified by you, and see if we'd be a good fit for your personalized homebuilding and homeowning plans.
